Chaye Cabal-Revilla has been named officer-in-charge of TV5 and the entertainment operations of MediaQuest, taking on the role while MediaQuest president Victorico Vargas goes on a medical leave that began in September. Cabal-Revilla is a long-serving figure in the group led by Manuel Pangilinan. She serves as chief finance, risk and sustainability officer at Metro Pacific Investments and has held senior finance roles across several of the group’s companies, giving her broad experience in both operations and strategy.
Her appointment is meant to keep the television and entertainment business steady while its president is away. Interim leadership of this kind is common when a senior executive takes extended leave, and it often signals continuity rather than a change in direction.
TV5 has worked to strengthen its programming and its position in a competitive media market, where audiences increasingly split their time between traditional television and online platforms. Steady management is seen as important as the company navigates that shift.
Cabal-Revilla also sits on the boards of several major infrastructure and utility companies within the group, reflecting the range of responsibilities she carries. Colleagues have pointed to her financial background as an asset in guiding the media business.
